Fall Bucket List: Try a New US Fall Vacation Spot

We believe fall is the best time to travel in the USA. It’s not too hot, not too cold. The air is crisp and clean. The United States also has some of the most beautiful fall foliage in the world.

Now is the time to get out and see those beautiful colors.

But what US fall destination excites you? A small town, a big city, maybe some mountains where you can hike and see fall foliage for miles? We have one for every interest.

Here are our top fall vacations USA:

Stowe and Montpelier Vermont. There is no better fall countryside surrounded by mountains than this area of Vermont. The colors are vibrant, with backgrounds of red barns, charming bridges and roadways, white steeple churches, and dairy cows.

Get Back Into Reading

One of the best things about fall is that it’s the perfect time to cozy up with a good book. There’s something about the cooler weather and shorter days that makes curling up with a blanket and a cup of tea seem especially appealing. We love lying on the sofa and listening to audiobooks together, or a family reading session always is a good idea. Find a good book to get lost in here.

Make a Toasty Outdoor Fire

One of the best things about fall is that it’s the perfect time to cozy up around a bonfire. There’s nothing like s’mores and hot chocolate by the fire, and it’s a great way to spend time with family and friends. If you’re looking for something to add to your fall bucket list ideas, here’s how to make a toasty outdoor fire.

  • Choose a spot that’s far away from any buildings or trees. You’ll want plenty of space for fresh air to circulate. Here are a few tips for making a perfect outdoor fire:
  • If you’re using wood, make sure it’s dry and well-seasoned. Wet wood will smoke and be difficult to light.
  • Start with a small fire and add more wood as needed. A big fire may look impressive, but it can be hard to control.
  • Keep a close eye on the fire at all times. Make sure anyone staying near the fire is aware of the dangers of burns.
  • If you cannot have an open fire pit, an outdoor portable fire pit is the perfect solution; you can even get a gas-burning one! They are easy to maintain, clean, and control fire.

With a bit of planning and care, an outdoor fire can be the perfect way to enjoy the cooler fall weather.

But we are not done!

No outdoor fire is complete without hot chocolate and smores! The perfect smores kit is graham crackers, fluffy marshmallows, and lots; I mean lots of melty chocolate. You can even purchase an entire kit and have it delivered!! Toast up your marshmallow on your handy dandy marshmallow roasting sticks.
