Fall is in the air, which means it’s time to start planning your annual pumpkin patch excursion. Whether you’re looking for something close by or are willing to travel a bit farther (we all know how big the metroplex is), there are plenty of great options in Dallas and Fort Worth for picking your perfect pumpkin and some family-friendly activities. To help you out with this task, we’ve put together every pumpkin patch our family loves in DFW, and we visit year after year! Here are the best DFW pumpkin patches to explore this fall.

DFW Pumpkin Patches-Mainstay Farm

Mainstay Farm is a tradition for my family and one of our favorite DFW pumpkin patches. Every year, we head south to Cleburne, Texas, for the day to “Texas’ biggest backyard.”

Mainstay Farm is one of the best Fort Worth pumpkin patches, and the fun doesn’t stop at pumpkin picking.

Fort Worth Pumpkin Patches

There are over 20+ family-friendly activities, all included in your ticket price-trains, a jumbo jumper bubble, a giant seesaw, tubing, swings, hayrides, a sand dig, pig races, petting zoos, a new ferris wheel, and for a bit extra, WINE!

Mainstay Farm also has many excellent fall photo opportunities for you and your family.

Mainstay Farm Tip: We suggest buying your tickets in advance and online. The line to purchase tickets can get pretty long and your kids will get antsy. It saves time and money!

Cleburne, Texas is one hour southwest of Dallas and about forty minutes south of Fort Worth, Texas. This is a fun day trip and well worth the drive.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

This favorite DFW pumpkin patch in Flower Mound, Texas, is beautifully situated on Double Oak Ranch owned by Jan Balekian.

This DFW pumpkin patch has been a local favorite for years. Every year the pumpkins perfectly line the rolling green grasses ready for picking.

There are so many activities for the kids from a playground equipped with wooden playhouses, hundreds of popular cut-out characters, and trains. Fun hay bale mazes with slides, a pumpkin house, and wooden cartoon characters are all around the farm for family photo opportunities.

Admission: There is a charge for parking, $10.00/ per car for Weekdays M-F $20.00 per car for Weekends Saturdays, and Sundays. All activities are free with paid parking. Purchases of pumpkins, beverages, and food are extra.

Team Family Farm- Aubrey, Texas

Team Family Farms is a family-owned farm and DFW pumpkin patch is north of Dallas and Fort Worth in the beautiful country of Aubrey, Texas. (Don’t forget this area in the spring for Texas tulips)!

This fun urban farm checks all the boxes on your fall bucket list. Take a tiny Texas road trip to Aubrey for some great family fun and visit the “rustic wonderland in the country.”

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm-Grapevine, Texas

Hall’s Pumpkin Farm-Grapevine, Texas: Family-owned and operated, Hall’s Pumpkin Patch is an excellent option for pumpkin picking. Activities include Hall’s famous corn maze. The corn stalks are 9ft tall and have over two acres of twisting and turning mazes. It is a challenge for all ages, and the corn maze changes yearly.

This time-tested, family favorite, Fort Worth pumpkin patch has other activities including hayrides, farm tours, petting zoos, and more!

Visiting Yesterland Farms in Canton, Texas, is a great way to spend the day with family. This pumpkin patch near Dallas is popular attraction and has been open since 1985 and offers many different activities and great food options for visitors.

You can take hayrides through this DFW pumpkin patch, ride a rollercoaster, and visit one of their petting zoos to feed animals like llamas, goats, and miniature horses. Check out Yesterland’s Spooktacular which goes through November 7th, too, for a spooky Halloween good time.

St. James Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch

For 25 years, this enduring and popular tradition- the annual St. James Episcopal Church Pumpkin Patch returns October 1st 2022-October 31st. Thousands of pumpkins all shapes, sizes and varities will be here for picking.

This pumpkin patch in Dallas is a joint venture between St. James Episcopal Church and Southwest-based farmers engaged in planting, growing or harvesting the crop.” The proceeds from pumpkin sales fund “Saint”s Student Ministries helping young people grow through local outreach programs with national mission trips abroad!

Vsitors can come and pick the perfect pumpkin and take amazing photos. Bonus! This is a dog-friendly pumpkin patch. Bring your four-legged friend for some great fall photos!

Dallas Farmers Market

The Dallas Farmers Market is a must-visit for anyone looking for fresh, locally-grown produce. Located in the heart of downtown, the market features over 150 vendors selling everything from fruits and vegetables to eggs and honey. In addition to produce, the market also offers a variety of artisanal goods, such as handmade pottery and jewelry, live music and special events.
